These are fitted to the R52 cabriolet model of Mini. They fit all 1st Generation Minis within the engine bay and help to reduce movement between the strut towers and crash beams. This is a product aimed at the first generation Mini driver who wants to tighten their chassis as much as possible.
Installation is simple...
If your car is a facelift model - September 2004 onwards the threaded inserts are already installed and it’s a very simple install as you simply have to pull out the plastic plugs in the holes and bolt the braces in. There will be a plastic plug in each of these holes. Unscrew the plugs and you will see the threaded holes underneath. All that’s left to do is to line up the struts and bolt them in.
If yours is a pre-faceift (2002-early 2004) model you will have to position the braces, mark the location of the holes to be drilled, drill the holes and finally insert and use the rivnuts. The braces are then ready for installation.
